Arielle North Olson

As a newspaperwoman, children’s book reviewer, author, and mother-of-three, Arielle has always been devoted to the very best in children’s literature􀀁 She lives in St􀀁 Louis, Missouri, USA. Arielle is the daughter of legendary American children’s book author Sterling North, whose Rascal sold millions of copies around the world.

Her book, Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter (Little, Brown, 1987), won the Second Place Award, Juvenile Division, Friends of American Writers in 1988, while Ask the Bones: Scary Tales from Around the World (Viking 1999) won the Keystone State (Pennsylvania) Reading Association’s Young Adult Book Award in 2001.

Christy Olson Kennedy

A health coach, writer, editor, typesetter, yoga practitioner, runner, birdwatcher, chicken-keeper, avid gardener and mother-of-four, Christy Olson Kennedy continues her family’s long tradition of writing for children. She is based in Lawrence, Kansas, USA, where for over a decade she ran a wildlife rehabilitation program.

Kalpana Subramanian

Kalpana Subramanian is an artist-filmmaker-researcher who also loves to write for children. She has made several short films and collaborated on various award-winning multimedia exhibits, and has taught visual communication design at undergraduate level for ten years. In 2015 Kalpana received a Fulbright Nehru Award for Academic and Professional Excellence to expand her practice in the field of experimental moving image. She is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Media Study at the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA.

Jane DeSuza

A management graduate and creative consultant, Jane DeSuza has penned humorous novels for both children and adults, and is based in Singapore. She is regularly invited to literature festivals, as well as to conduct workshops.

Noella Menon

A professional voiceover artist, freelance journalist and scriptwriter, Noella Menon is based out of Singapore.

Prashant Miranda

Artist Prashant Miranda grew up in Bangalore and studied at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, before working as a designer for children’s animated TV shows in Toronto. He now animates films, teaches visual art, illustrates children’s books and paints murals. With summers in Canada, winters in India and plenty of other travel in between, he documents his meanderings in his watercolour journals.

Caity Kennedy

Immersed in art from an early age, Caity was the recipient of a merit scholarship to study at the Rhode Island School of Design. Moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico, she joined the Meow Wolf art collective in 2008, taking up a role as lead artist on their immersive, collaborative, multi-media art installations. She is currently the art director and a lead artist for Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return, as well as a co-owner and chief creative officer of Meow Wolf’s production studios.

Sarah Khoury

Sarah Khoury is an Italian illustrator and author, based in Antibes, France. Born in 1984, she has loved drawing since she was a child. She is a graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts, Venice and specializes in illustration for children. Her picture books have been published since 2011. Ciacio is the protagonist of Sarah’s picture books series, she created this character as a tribute to her favourite childhood puppet.

Isuri Merenchi Hewage

Based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Isuri Merenchi Hewage is an illustrator and artist, and graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration (2012). Since then, she has worked on comic and picture book projects for publishers worldwide.

Kavita Arvind

A graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, with a specialisation in film and video communication, Kavita is a design educator and an artist who works with diverse media to cover a range of issues relating to social and gender communication.

Kriti Monga

A National Institute of Design-trained visual artist and designer, Kriti Monga is the Founder-Director of Delhi-based studio Turmeric Design, which was judged India’s Best Graphic Design Studio at the Indi-Pool Awards in 2015.
